FIELD MANUAL

behind your command.

Free Planets Alliance is built around one idea: the decisions you make between battles should matter as much as the battles themselves.

A CAMPAIGN TURN

What you do before “Send Troops” matters.

There is no single correct build order. The tension comes from choosing what your command needs next.

01Read the mission

Understand the objective and enemy context.

02Check readiness

Review forces, officers, resources and damaged facilities.

03Invest

Build, recruit, repair or trade before committing.

04Deploy

Send a force appropriate to the threat—not simply everything.

05Recover

Absorb casualties, counterattacks and officer injuries.

Colony home interface
01 · COLONY

Your base is a strategic board, not decoration.

Thirteen building slots force choices. Production buildings power growth; military facilities unlock troops and frigates; warehouses expand storage; damaged facilities reduce output until repaired.

  • Build and replace facilities as priorities change
  • Repair damage caused by enemy retaliation
  • Limited slots prevent building everything immediately

02 · ECONOMY

Four resources. Many competing demands.

Crop, Steel, Microchips and Energy support construction, recruitment, repairs and technology. Production continues while you are away, but storage and upkeep keep growth under control.

03 · FLEET & ARMY

Combat power comes from composition and preparation.

Troopers provide mass, frigates provide heavy combat power and officers contribute command value. Research improves performance, but overwhelming an enemy with raw numbers is not always efficient.

04 · OFFICERS

Your command staff can become a strength—or a vulnerability.

Assigned officers support your military, but every real engagement carries personal risk. Wounded officers can recover naturally or receive treatment; critically injured officers may be unavailable for longer; rare battlefield deaths are permanent.

05 · CAMPAIGNS

The map changes from tutorial frontier to full-scale war.

Difficulty rises across four connected fronts, with larger enemy forces and greater pressure on your economy and roster.
